Elected Officers

The elected officers of the Atoms Booster Club serve a one-year term, starting July 1 each year.

Committees

Executive Board

The Executive Board consists of the officers, the standing committee chairs, and the Director, Student Activities of Annandale High School.

Standing Committees

Audit Committee

The three-person Audit Committee annually prepares an audit to review the financial records of the Atoms Booster Club for approval at the regular September membership meeting.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee publicizes the Atoms Booster Club organization and its activities through print and electronic media, along with recognizing the accomplishments of our student-athletes.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for establishing and coordinating all fundraisers for the
Atoms Booster Club and acts as an umbrella committee for all fundraisers including concessions, Atoms 5K, and spirit wear.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee processes the membership applications, conducts membership campaigns, and maintains the current membership list, including contact information.

Scholarship Committee

As funds may permit, the Scholarship Committee prepares and distribute the scholarship applications, and reviews the submitted applications to ensure each applicant meets the qualifications for the scholarship award. This five-person panel, including the DSA, will review the applications and recommend a male and a female student-athlete for this award.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee prepares a proposed slate of nominees who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Atoms Booster Club Bylaws for the following year’s officers and presents this slate at the regular April meeting.

Team Representatives

Each team or club is expected to recruit one parent representative and one alternate parent representative from among the families of the team members and/or coaches to communicate frequently with the coaching staff and the booster club. Both the representative and coaches should work collectively to plan and organize the various activities of the sport and coordinate the efforts of the sport’s parent group with that of the booster club as a whole.

Liaisons

The principal of Annandale High School and the Director of Student Activities are liaisons between the Atoms Booster Club and the Fairfax County School Board.
